The real estate industry has undoubtedly come a long way since I started many years ago! I was proud to be part of it then, and still feel the same today. While technology has certainly streamlined our business, our most valuable asset remains the long-term relationships based on mutual trust and respect that we develop with our clients. This has been the foundation that motivates me and fuels my enthusiasm on a daily basis. My dream was to develop a business that would cater to first time buyers and sellers. That dream was realized when I launched my own company, Lydia Maria Real Estate in Bronxville, which ran successfully for 24 years. I also developed a niche with exclusive house and apartment rentals in and around the Village. As my business grew and included many repeat clients, my scope expanded beyond the village and entry-level market. I set out to earn designations that would enhance my skills and benefit my clients, including Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) and Graduate, Realtors Institute (GRI) which is our industry premier designation. I have served on the board of the Bronxville Chamber of Commerce as President as well as Senior Advisor and continue to be involved in our business and residential community. I am also one of the founding members of the Bronxville Historical Conservancy whose mission is to further an appreciation and understanding of the history and current life of Bronxville. While I am a Realtor by day, I am an amateur astronomer by night. I can frequently be found at NYC's Hayden Planetarium where I have assisted with the monthly public programs for almost 2 decades.
